Supporting Wellness Through a Full Mind & Body Checkup with Minmed

18 May 2024

In today’s demanding world, taking care of both physical and mental well-being is more important than ever.

As part of our initiative to give back to the community, FirstCom Academy, in collaboration with Minmed Group, organised a free Mind and Body Health Checkup at SAFRA Toa Payoh on 18 May 2024.

Helping Participants Take Charge of Their Health

By the early morning, a queue had already formed as participants arrived for the checkup. More than 300 participants attended the event, reflecting the community’s strong interest in taking proactive steps towards better health.

The checkup process was carried out across five stations, with the team from Minmed Group ensuring that each procedure was conducted professionally and efficiently. Their smooth coordination helped reduce waiting time and created a comfortable experience for participants throughout the screening journey.

Many participants looked forward to the checkup as it gave them a valuable opportunity to better understand their health. By undergoing the screening, they were able to take proactive steps in assessing their physical and mental well-being, helping them make more informed decisions about their health and lifestyle.

Replenishing and Recharging After the Screening

Following the blood draw station, participants were welcomed with a well-stocked catering meal to help them replenish their energy. The refreshment spread was prepared with participants’ comfort in mind, especially for those who might have felt tired after completing the screening process.

Promoting an Active Mind Through Lifelong Learning

Our Education Consultants were also present at the event to engage participants on the importance of maintaining an active mind through lifelong learning.

After completing a questionnaire, participants had the opportunity to speak with our team and learn more about courses that could help them stay mentally engaged, build new skills, and continue developing themselves. This allowed us to connect the importance of physical wellness with the value of keeping the mind active and curious.

We are grateful for the encouraging response to this fully subsidised Mind and Body Health Checkup, and we look forward to continuing our efforts to support the community through meaningful wellness and lifelong learning initiatives.
