Learning Unit 1: Foundational Career Management
- Assess employee skills and experience against job role competencies using structured assessment methods and tools.
- Apply competency mapping models to identify capability gaps and development needs.
- Apply organisational guidelines to support structured career progression planning.
Hands-on Activity: Engage in a career coaching conversation using the GROW model and GUIDE framework to clarify goals, understand needs, explore options and agree on next steps.
Learning Unit 2: Planning and Implementation of Career Development
- Identify appropriate career development options based on individual needs, organisational goals, and market trends.
- Apply principles of career development to support structured career planning.
- Support the execution of career development plans using relevant resources and tools.
Hands-on Activity: Turn a career discussion into clear development plan by identifying strengths, development areas, commitments, targets, required support and next steps.
Learning Unit 3: Evaluation and Ethical Practice
- Analyse employee performance data to evaluate the effectiveness of career coaching programmes.
- Apply key metrics and records to assess development outcomes and impact.
- Ensure privacy and confidentiality of coaching records in line with legal and ethical requirements.
- Maintain professional standards in career coaching practices.
Hands-on Activity: Review coaching effectiveness and practise handling career discussions responsibly using the ROAR and TRUST frameworks.
Competency Assessment
& Certification
Nationally-Recognised Certification
Candidates will be awarded a Statement of Attainment under Singapore Workforce Skills Qualification (WSQ) and a Certificate of Completion by Skills Development Academy upon completion of the course with at least 75% attendance and demonstration of competency in the WSQ-mandated written and practical assessments.

Entry Requirements:
- Aged 21 and above
- Have basic computer literacy Level 2
- Have minimum GCE “N”, “O” or “A” Level / NITEC or a diploma qualification and minimum 2 years of working experience; and
- Have an English language proficiency equivalent of higher of any of the following – GCSE N/O Levels pass in English / WPLN Level 5 / IELTS 5.5 / TOEFL (internet based total) 46-59
