Learning Unit 1: Evaluating Company Requirements and Team Leadersʼ Competency
- Understand the limits of authority-based leadership and how position-driven management can affect team performance and organisational outcomes.
- Explore relationship-driven leadership and how trust, open communication and collaborative decision-making build better teams.
- Apply legal and ethical considerations to ensure fair, compliant and unbiased leadership practices.
Hands-on Activity: Practise balancing authority and relationship-based leadership by exploring workplace scenarios on maintaining standards, rebuilding trust and strengthening accountability.
Learning Unit 2: Working with Team Leaders to Improve Team Capability
- Track key team activities using structured frameworks to identify performance gaps and guide targeted improvements.
- Collaborate with team leaders to conduct training needs analysis and identify development priorities aligned with professional standards and organisational goals
- Apply coaching techniques to support team leaders and improve their performance
Hands-on Activity: Break down a personal or team goal into smaller milestones and map out the activities needed to achieve it in a trackable way.
Learning Unit 3: Reviewing Outcomes for Continuous Improvement
- Use systems and automation tools to streamline workflows, reduce manual tasks and improve team productivity.
- Build a high-performance team culture based on humility, emotional intelligence, empowerment, inclusivity and continuous improvement.
Hands-on Activity: Explore simple tools and automation to reduce repetitive tasks, improve workflows and help teams focus on higher-value work.
Competency Assessment
& Certification
Nationally-Recognised Certification
Candidates will be awarded a Statement of Attainment under Singapore Workforce Skills Qualification (WSQ) and a Certificate of Completion by Skills Development Academy upon completion of the course with at least 75% attendance and demonstration of competency in the WSQ-mandated written and practical assessments.

Entry Requirements:
- Aged 18 and above
- Have basic computer literacy Level 2
- Have minimum GCE “N”, “O” or “A” Level / NITEC or a diploma qualification and minimum 2 years of working experience;
- Have a basic understanding of the camera functions of the mobile phone and
- Have an English language proficiency equivalent of higher of any of the following – GCSE N/O Levels pass in English / WPLN Level 5 / IELTS 5.5 / TOEFL (internet based total) 46-59.
