FirstCom Academy was glad to be part of JobStreet’s #SEEKBetter Career Fair, where job seekers, working professionals, and employers came together for two days of career exploration, networking, and meaningful conversations.
The event provided a valuable platform for attendees to learn more about career opportunities, connect with organisations, and explore ways to stay relevant in today’s evolving job market. The fair also featured various career-related activities and resources, including employer booths, job opportunities, and career guidance sessions.
Throughout the two-day fair, our team had the opportunity to meet and speak with many attendees from different career backgrounds. From fresh graduates exploring their first job opportunities to working professionals considering their next career move, many visitors stopped by our booth to find out more about how upskilling can support their career goals.
The enthusiasm and openness of the attendees made every conversation meaningful, as many were eager to better understand the skills that could help them remain competitive in the workforce.
At the FirstCom Academy booth, our Education Consultants shared information on the range of WSQ courses available and how practical skills training can support individuals in their career development.
Attendees were introduced to different learning pathways based on their interests, current skill sets, and career aspirations. The conversations also highlighted the growing importance of continuous learning as industries continue to change and workplace demands evolve.
A key highlight of the event was the panel discussion where our CEO, Jim Giam, was invited to speak as a panellist. He shared his insights on the top five digital skills that individuals need to master in order to stay competitive in today’s employment landscape. His sharing highlighted the importance of digital readiness, adaptability, and continuous upskilling as key factors in navigating a fast-changing job market.
The strong turnout at JobStreet’s #SEEKBetter Career Fair reflected a growing awareness of the importance of staying adaptable and future-ready.
For FirstCom Academy, the event was a meaningful opportunity to connect with the community, share our commitment to lifelong learning, and support individuals in exploring practical ways to build relevant skills. Being part of the event allowed us to engage directly with individuals who were serious about their career growth and open to learning how upskilling can support their journey.
