Building AI Awareness at LTA’s Lunch & Learn

14 Jan 2026

SDA was pleased to conduct a Lunch & Learn session at the Land Transport Authority (LTA) Headquarters, where our team had the opportunity to share practical insights on AI awareness and the use of Generative AI in the public sector.

The lunchtime engagement provided a meaningful platform for LTA’s employees to explore how AI can be approached with greater confidence, clarity, and responsibility.

An Engaging Lunchtime Learning Experience

The session was led by our ACLP-certified trainer, Daryl Toh, who introduced participants to key concepts in AI and Generative AI. Conducted in a relaxed lunchtime setting, the session created a positive atmosphere for learning, open discussion, and active sharing.

Participants were able to engage with the topic in an accessible and practical way, making the session both informative and approachable for those who may be new to AI or still building confidence in using emerging technologies.

Through practical examples and relatable perspectives, Daryl shared how public sector officers can use AI as a supportive tool in their work, while keeping in mind the importance of verification, clear intention, and responsible usage. A key message from the session was that AI should not be seen as something to fear, but as a tool that can support productivity, enhance thinking, and complement human judgement when used thoughtfully.

Understanding Sector-Specific Needs

Engagements like this allow us to better understand the real challenges, concerns, and considerations faced by public sector organisations when it comes to AI adoption. These insights are valuable in helping us continuously refine and adapt our curriculum to better meet the needs of different sectors, ensuring that our training remains relevant, practical, and aligned with real workplace contexts.

Continuing Meaningful Collaborations

We value opportunities to engage with public sector organisations and remain open to future collaborations that support capability building in emerging technologies. Skills Development Academy remains committed to helping individuals and organisations build confidence, understanding, and practical skills in AI and digital tools as they navigate the evolving future of work.
