FirstCom Academy had the honour of being an exhibitor and sponsor at FLAsia 2024, a leading marketplace where established brands, business owners, and industry professionals came together to connect, showcase new concepts, and explore opportunities for brand expansion across Asia.
We were proud to be part of this vibrant event alongside well-known names such as Avex Asia, Bandai Namco, Disney, Dian Xiao Er, Lee Wee & Brothers, and many more.
One of the key topics at FLAsia 2024 was the growing impact of technology on businesses, including the rise of tech-driven franchising solutions. Against this backdrop, our message was clear: behind every successful business strategy are people with the right skills, knowledge, and confidence to bring those strategies to life.
As businesses continue to adopt digital tools and technology-led solutions, upskilling remains essential in helping teams adapt, execute effectively, and stay competitive in an evolving business landscape.
Over three eventful days at Sands Expo & Convention Centre, our Education Consultants engaged visitors from various industries, sharing practical insights on how businesses and workers can unlock growth through fundamental digital skills training.
These conversations gave us the opportunity to better understand the challenges businesses face, while also highlighting the importance of continuous learning in driving long-term transformation. The meaningful exchanges we had throughout the event further motivated us to continue innovating fresh ideas, supporting businesses, and exploring new ways to reach a wider audience.
A key highlight of our participation at FLAsia 2024 was our presence at the panel discussion, “Strategies for Enhancing Your Franchise’s Online Presence.”
Our Head of Enterprise Sales, Daryl Ng, took the stage as a panellist alongside Jeffrey Lim, Deputy CEO of Liao Fan Hawker Chan (Global) Pte. Ltd., and Nisa Suhaimy, Associate Director at WE Communications. Together, the panel shared their perspectives on how social media and digital tools have transformed the way businesses market themselves, operate, and build a strong online presence.
Through his work with franchise owners and business leaders across various industries, Daryl has seen first-hand how technology has reshaped the business landscape.
During the panel discussion, he shared an important perspective: before investing heavily in digital marketing strategies, businesses should first evaluate key factors such as customer acquisition cost, customer lifetime value, and the frequency of customer spending. This ensures that digital marketing efforts are not only creative and visible, but also commercially sustainable and aligned with business goals.
Our experience at FLAsia 2024 was both meaningful and inspiring. From engaging conversations at our exhibit to insightful discussions on stage, the event reinforced our commitment to helping businesses strengthen their capabilities through practical, industry-relevant training.
We are grateful for the opportunity to be part of FLAsia 2024 and look forward to continuing our work in supporting businesses, empowering workers, and contributing to a more future-ready workforce.
