Encouraging Lifelong Learning This Father’s Day in Jalan Bukit Merah

18 Jun 2023

In a world where technology is constantly evolving, keeping up with new tools and trends can feel challenging, especially for seniors. At FirstCom Academy, we believe that learning has no age limit, and that everyone should have the opportunity to build confidence in using digital skills.

On 18 June 2023, our team had the privilege of attending a Father’s Day community event organised by Lovely Team 爱心团队 at 107 Jalan Bukit Merah, where we connected with senior residents and shared the importance of lifelong learning in today’s digital age.

A Heartwarming Father’s Day Celebration

The event brought together seniors from the Jalan Bukit Merah community for a meaningful Father’s Day celebration filled with warmth, refreshments, and friendly conversations.

FirstCom Academy was grateful to be invited by the 爱心团队 team, who put in great effort to create a memorable gathering for the seniors. During the event, our team distributed informative materials and introduced residents to our mission of making lifelong learning and upskilling more accessible, regardless of age or background.

Sharing the Value of Lifelong Learning

As part of our engagement, we conducted a short sharing session to explain how lifelong learning can open doors to greater confidence and personal growth.

The seniors warmly welcomed our team, and it was encouraging to see their interest as we shared how learning new digital skills can help them stay connected, express themselves creatively, and navigate the modern world with greater ease. Their enthusiasm reminded us that curiosity and the desire to learn do not fade with age.

Building a More Inclusive Digital Community

We would like to thank 爱心团队 once again for inviting us to be part of this meaningful Father’s Day event at Jalan Bukit Merah. It was a privilege to engage with the seniors, share our belief in lifelong learning, and encourage them to embrace digital skills with confidence.

The event was a heartwarming reminder that age should never be a barrier to learning. With the right support and encouragement, everyone can continue to grow, adapt, and thrive in the digital era.
