Supporting the Community at Race For Good Charity Run

14 Sep 2024

On Saturday morning, the FirstCom Academy team was glad to engage the community at the Race For Good Charity Run, held at Angsana Green, East Coast Parkway.

Organised by The Salvation Army Singapore and powered by TriFactor, the event brought participants, supporters, and community partners together for a meaningful cause.

Running for a Meaningful Cause

Race For Good aims to raise awareness and funds to support vulnerable groups in Singapore, including children, the elderly, ex-offenders and their families, as well as migrant workers. The event was a heartening reminder of the importance of coming together as a community to uplift those in need and contribute towards a more caring and inclusive society.

We were honoured to see Ms Gan Siow Huang, Minister of State for Education and Manpower, grace the event and show her support for the participants and attendees. Her presence added to the encouraging atmosphere of the morning, as everyone gathered with a shared purpose of doing good for the community.

Building a Stronger and More Resilient Community Through Education

As part of our ongoing community engagement efforts, the FirstCom Academy team connected with participants and attendees to share the value of upskilling and lifelong learning. Through our conversations, we highlighted how practical skills training can help individuals strengthen their confidence, improve employability, and create better opportunities for themselves and their families.

Beyond the run, Race For Good reflected the importance of building a strong, resilient, and supportive community. FirstCom Academy is proud to have been part of this meaningful event as we continue our commitment to engaging the community, promoting lifelong learning, and supporting better futures for Singaporeans and their families.
