Education and community outreach go hand in hand, and FirstCom Academy was privileged to support both as a sponsor of the Singapore Heartland Enterprise Summit 2023.
The summit brought together heartland merchants, business owners and community partners for meaningful conversations on business growth, digital transformation, and the future of Singapore’s heartland enterprises.
Throughout the event, our team had the opportunity to meet many inspiring heartland merchants and hear their stories.
These conversations gave us a deeper appreciation of their resilience, passion, and commitment to serving their communities. Many of these businesses have played an important role in shaping Singapore’s heartland identity, and it was meaningful for us to connect with them directly.
We were also honoured to meet Mr Tan Kiat How, Senior Minister of State, during the summit.
His presence reinforced the importance of supporting local enterprises as they continue to adapt, transform, and remain competitive in today’s evolving economy.
As part of the summit, our Training Advisory Manager, Daryl, had the opportunity to share with merchants about essential digital tech skills that can benefit their businesses in the digital economy. Through the sharing, merchants gained practical insights into how digital tools and technology can help them improve visibility, engage customers, streamline processes, and support long-term business growth.
For FirstCom Academy, the summit was a meaningful platform to promote the value of lifelong learning and digital upskilling within the heartland business community.
